Trying to figure out why I'm hearing the same traffic on 3 different freqs.

45.320, 45.220 and 453.8875 all PL 192.8

I have a couple VHF-HI freqs for them, but have never heard anything on them.

Calaveras County Sheriff

Hello. I monitor Calaveras county sheriff....

Trying to figure out why I'm hearing the same traffic on 3 different freqs.

45.320,
I have always (if you can consider 4 years to be always) understood this channel to be "Angels Camp PD and Calaveras Sheriff". This is where I've always heard MAIN (dispatch) radio traffic.

Interestingly, I do not have this frequency programmed. Perhaps it is a 'repeater input' frequency (as I usually don't program them).

and 453.8875 all PL 192.8
This is a repeat of 45.320. I submitted this to the DB well over a year ago. These foothill counties have varied terrain and sometimes I signal will get through on UHF that won't on VHF or visa versa. So I suspect this was added to get a signal to places that had a tough time receiving low band. When I drive around the area (from Amador county to Tuolumne county) I never know which frequency will have the best reception. It varies all the time.

I have a couple VHF-HI freqs for them, but have never heard anything on them.
I've received traffic on 45.140 CT 192.8; 151.070 CT 192.8; 155.430 CT 192.8. I have several other frequencies listed/programmed for them as well, which I can not be certain it was Calaveras I picked up.

It is a multicast system: (same traffic on all of the below channels)

001) Calaveras Sheriff Angels Camp 45.3200
002) Calaveras Sheriff San Andres 45.2200
003) Calaveras Sheriff Valley Springs 45.1000
004) Calaveras Sheriff Arnold 45.2000

The UHF channels are links to and from the sites. The VHF channels do not exist (other than on paper) and should be removed from the database.

Calaveras County VHF High Frequencies

I assume you mean the VHF high frequencies do not exist. Can you explain how I received distinct sheriff traffic on these frequencies?

EDIT: Also, I have picked up traffic on 45.140 CT 192.8 - can you tell us about the use of that frequency?

Thanks.

And the cities you mention in this post are where sateliette offices are located correct?

I also have 458.9375 192.8 with traffic. Think I only picked this up in Angels Camp area. Unable to get it at work in Stockton.

I'd really like to nail this county down in the DB, I monitor them often for work purposes.

I concur with the VHF freqs. Just added all the licenses and picking up traffic on 151.040 and 151.055 both 192.8 PL.
