Anyone tried dual-input charging on portable power setups?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here tested charging a mid-range portable power unit from solar and AC at the same time?
I’ve been experimenting with one rated around 600 W, and I’m wondering how its BMS handles simultaneous inputs, does it automatically balance, or could that cause backfeed or overcurrent on one side?
Would love to hear if anyone’s tried a similar hybrid setup.

Quick update, I tested it further using a setup similar to this compact outdoor backup unit I came across, and the BMS managed both inputs smoothly. It handled solar + wall charging fine, switching seamlessly without heat buildup.

Seems like the key is keeping both input voltages within spec and letting the internal protection do its job. Works better than I expected for a mid-power portable system.
