AOR AR-DV1 and New Third-Party Program

For those with the AOR AR-DV1, a new third-party provider has developed what appears to be a very interesting software package for the DV1. In addition to memory management functions, this package also includes computer control of the DV1 receiver.

I have not personally tried the new software yet--- I expect that this coming weekend, I'll either have my own DV1 or will be able to borrow a friends to put this new software through its paces.

AOR AR-DV1 And New Third-Party Program

Thanks for the tip. I am interested in the receiver, but I have held off due to the price and lack of computer control. Hopefully Gommert has his version updated soon to offer unattended logging.

The version I saw in Butel AR-DV1 beta software had computer control, but I did not see anything about logging. Perhaps I am wrong. That would be great if it is available. The reason I use virtual control for any of my scanners is mainly logging when I cannot listen. The computer control without logging is OK, but logging is a key feature for me. Perhaps Gommert is going to make this available in the upcoming virtual control for this receiver.

AOR AR-DV1 --- New Software Packages

This has been an exciting week for folks with the AOR AR-DV1 receiver. Butel has introduced the "Pro" version of their software, which compliments the "Basic" package with computer-control of the radio.

In addition, Ash-By Products has had several updates to their own software, which also provides computer control of the DV1.
