first post here. I’m looking for guidance on the following:
I have an AOR AR5000+3a that I would like to share an antenna with my yeasu ft-950 transceiver. Do I understand correctly that the MUTE capability of the Aor completely disconnects the receiver from rf input? Do I need any other switching in the coax, or just a simple splitter? And where from the transceiver do I take the NC/NO rca relay to signal the AOR? Would this be wired into the mic key, or is anyone familiar enough with yeasu to know where I can take this off? Neither manual is clear to me regarding this feature.
I want to protect the Aor but I like it better for receiving than the 950
