Yes I use the AR8600 as it is an outstanding scanner/receiver for 30-500 Mhz. I would like to get any add on that can let me hear digital. I know there are add on's for this rig. If some knows of such things and where I can get it please let me have a link.

I used the now discontinued AR25 (P25 Only) with my 8600 and a Yaesu VR-5000 and it really worked great. $800 for the ARD300 with no Tetra or DMR seems steep. Save a few more pennies and stick a DV-1 on top of your AOR8600.

The AOR ARD300 does decode DMR if you update the Firmware (which you can download from AOR website).

The ARD300 decoding Modes you can see in the attached image to this post. I 'think' it's slightly out-of-date as I'm sure (not 100%) I've seen with a Firmware update the ARD300 will also decode TETRA.

I cannot find any reference to any ARD300 firmware on the AOR USA or Japan sites.

Perhaps I am just looking in the wrong place.

Does anyone have a link for this please?????

Except the AOR websites in USA or Japan do not show any Firmware updates for the ARD300.

If you do manage to get the latest Firmware update for your ARD300 which I believe is version 403C, here's the procedure to do it ...

Searching the Internet revealed '403C' was the first update to include DMR, but the last update was '501A'
