Thats prolly because thats the only battery Yaesu had. I agree it could easily be better one.

why they just used 2000mah one, no idea. Same goes for the airband antenna on a wideband receiver. Their design choices are weird...

And lastly - on batteries, why on earth can't we get 4000-5000 mA batteries when most phones have that size now and are much slimmer than what is package in current receivers/radio's. Which charge in around 1 hour or less. Not the 5-6 plus hours of the AOR.

Comparing to a phone it has got a 4000maH battery, phones use single 3.7V cells the DV10 uses a dual cell 7.4Vbattery, its the watt hours that matter not maH!

I have asked a simple question and received a valid, descent answer from TMac. Now, would you guess right that I am learning here and your 'lol' answer makes you a bad teacher, at best, despicable attitude.

Hey Concord1982 !
I absolutely agree with you!
Whenever I tried to demonstrate the opposite of their point of view (as well as c0ne ), they ranted at me and said insolently that I also used a secondary ID as TMAC 20.

The advertised Li-Ion battery pack is supposed to provide 2000mAh, but if you look closely, it is only 1800. This photo from the Yaesu website.
What gives?
