ARC95 "Priority"

At the advice of several, I purchased ARC95 software for my new-to-me Uniden BC95XLT. Very straight forward and the manual is quite understandable ....
EXCEPT .... I can not find abywhere in the manual where it outlines what can and/or cannot be done with the column entitle "Priority".
I am a newbie to scanners, so please bear with me with your repoonses. Thanks in advance!

if the 95 is like every scanner I've ever had the 'Priority' channel(s) will be sampled continuously. Try hovering the mouse pointer over the column in ARC95 to see the options for that column.

Simply put, it interrupts scanning to check the designated channel for activity at a regular interval.

Most people ask how to turn it off after they try it.

Thanks. I did. There were no options. I could change from Off to On and vice versa. For the time being I'm going to select "On".

If you don't have any channels checked for priority then on or off probably won't make a difference. I'm guessing that model lets you select which channels are priority (some were hard coded to the first channel of each bank IIRC).

Ahhhhhh. Thank you for the Manual link.
I thought that the Priority item would have been explained in the ARC95 Manual ....... I never thought to look at the Uniden Manual. Sheeesh. Tank You so much!
