Thanks !! :)

Don't get too excited. Seems that usually (a) there aren't too many on #radioreference, that (b) those that are on are mostly idle for significant periods of time and (c) they often are the typical uppity bunch that don't associate with the non-elite.

Check out: http://www.monitor.proxemic.net/

Although #monitor is not specifically about scanners or scanner DX, you may find it of interest. A lot of the guys who listen to Fed/Milcom/Air/USCG, quite a few of which are ham radio operators, can be found on there passing along information, chitchatting, etc. You'll find people in there who don't access RR at all, but you also find some RR users in there as well. Don't expect instant responses at all hours of the day, or high activity at all hours of the day.

and there's at least one on mIRC, last I heard, for SWL DX...probably more than that now. Likely a bunch of them for ham DXing, too.

Bump. This thread dates back to 2008, but let's try again. Is there any interest in a group on IRC? #Radioreference on Efnet has a control op but no participants.

Sounds like our government and media.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
