That was what I was thinking and then I scrolled down! I am curious, yellow....
Those involved know what the green door is. Those that go uprange know something a little different. At the end of the day we are all on the same team same goal same targets.I could tell you more about this patch I used to wear but then I would have to ki... well I'm sure you know the rest./s

I got a tip that this landed at KHND Henderson Exec. airport. Usually they only fly down from Area 51 and land at a hospital. It's rare they land and stay overnight. It belongs to the Ghost Squadron. View attachment 118417View attachment 118419
I see that you are out of Clark County, Nevada... You know, Not kidding here. Those involved know what the green door is. Those that go uprange knowsomething a little different. At the end of the day we are all on the same team same goal same targets.
That would appear to be a Sikorsky HH- 60 Pave Hawk.I got a tip that this landed at KHND Henderson Exec. airport. Usually they only fly down from Area 51 and land at a hospital. It's rare they land and stay overnight. It belongs to the Ghost Squadron. View attachment 118417View attachment 118419
I wouldn't want to be a "Soup Sandwich" but if it is a situation or mission then you've got a real "charlie foxtrot" on your hands

To the original poster, sorry for the levity but it's fun, no hijack intended, actually a lot more to this than meets the eye.

Pavehawks (as in your pic) have an in air refueling probe (the stinger). The OP pic doesn’t. The Pavehawk is specifically designed for combat rescue. More than likely the OP helo is more of a garden variety Blackhawk, perhaps with some additional thermal and/or night vision gear installed. To make sure the little green aliens can’t escape into the desert. That would appear to be a Sikorsky HH- 60 Pave Hawk.

Ah yes, the original posters one doesn't have machine guns either LOL. But it is not a BlackHawk as opposed to a PaveHawk. Different variant I guess.Pavehawks (as in your pic) have an in air refueling probe (the stinger). The OP pic doesn’t..
Pavehawks also have a winch ( can’t tell on OP pic as it would be on opposite side). Unlikely OP is any sort of Pavehawk. As I said Pavehawks are specifically set up for rescue. We see them frequently here in Anchorage, from the 176th composite wing. Also my understanding is the AF is running short of Pavehawks. They’ve had hard use in Afghanistan, and are wearing out. AF is looking at replacement options.Ah yes, the original posters one doesn't have machine guns either LOL. But it is not a BlackHawk as opposed to a PaveHawk. Different variant I guess.
Only photo I could find.
