Does anyone know the law's for Arizona and Phoenix on radio scanner's?

Im going to Phoenix next Friday for my great grandma's 101st birthday and my first travel with my new 396T.

And I have every frequency uploaded phoenix police/fire skyharbor airport deervalley airport from my Arc-396T software:)

After all that even with a few Phoenix Motorola and Glendale trunking uploaded it's only 20% not bad after all that.

Can someone post the arizona law's thank's:)

thank's

Thank's radio 10-8, I keep up to date on the law's lol I don't want a hefty fine lol:)

Im from sylmar CA and the only scanner restriction they have is they don't want anyone listing to police and fire inside a vehicle so I lock them out while inside a car just to safe in CA.

In Phoenix I just need a full list of the law's just cause im there only a short while. Just to be safe in Arizona I will lock out police and fire other then that I can listen to everything other than that:) in a car

Only in a car I will lock out Police and Fire

State laws may or may not limit the use of scanners - Arizona does not. However, city and county laws/codes/ordinances may have restrictions. You should check the city municipal code and the county code (or whatever they call them in your area), too.

I know that where I live, Los Angeles, CA, the only state law about using a scanner is that you cannot use it in the furtherance of a crime. However, Los Angeles Municipal Code and Los Angeles County Code gets a little more detailed, curtailing use in a vehicle to monitor police and fire. Luckily, these codes are rarely enforced (partly because of ignorance on the part of LE personnel and partly because it has not become a problem).

There have been some cases of a lookout using a scanner while his cohorts were committing the crime. This was back in the days before LAPD went digital. I don't think the average idiot crook knows about APCO P-25.

Somewhere in this room. Right now, you're very col
No restrictions on scanners here, bring it and enjoy. We have PLENTY of action to listen to, even though our DTRS is a real PITA to monitor.

If you like, you can get an up to date UASD file for your scanner here: http://icp-az.org/scanner_files/ICP_Scanner_Files.html

Enjoy your visit. Hopefully your great grandma has a pool you can use. It's getting into triple digits out here.

Maybe they are some of the "new to scanning" or "I don't know anything about this scanner" guys posting here. ???
