Got the email this morning.

**** PLEASE DISTRIBUTE FAR AND WIDE TO ALL RADIO USERS ****
ALL:
The Emergency Communications Center (ECC) will move to its new location on Tuesday, May 20th.
In order to transition the Public Safety radio users off of the old analog system onto the new digital system
(which you have been using since last summer), we are asking that
ALL RADIO TRAFFIC BE KEPT TO AN ABSOLUTE MINIMUM ON 5/20/08 FROM 0600 – 0900 HOURS.
We need this because we will be systematically turning off radio channels on the old system and turning them ON
in the new system. After the field users (police, sheriff, fire/ems), make the transition to the new radio system,
ECC will be required to perform a roll call of each unit. This will unnaturally overburden the new system.
After 0900, unless something unfortunate occurs, all radio channels will be up and functional, and normal operations
can commence.
I appreciate that this request will make operations difficult, and I thank you in advance for your cooperation. We are
similarly requesting that all public safety radio users only transmit in urgent circumstances while we reduce their channel
availability prior to cutover, and that they remain as silent as possible after cutover so we can assure that everyone is on the
right system.
Thank you !

The last issue of the Capitol Hill Monitors had a list of freqs to be used by Arlington's P25 system. It's in PDF format, and can be found here (I think the list in the db is incomplete)...

No doubt folks with UniTrunker and digital trackers will be very busy...73 Mike

Anyone know when Falls Church PD will switch over and what talkgroups they'll be on? I was listening today, and didn't hear them on the P25 system.

Speaking of their new P25 systems. Does any one have the new control channels for the systems yet. The one in the data base does not appear to be active and I've not been able to discover any others.

Thank you

860.4375 was active last night (Wednesday). The other three control channels are 859.9375, 859.7625, and 859.4375.

I'm noticing the system using frequencies:
860.9375
866.7125
860.9375
860.7625
858.9375
858.7625
857.9375
857.7625
856.9375

so far, with the control channel of 860.4375 as dtscho indicated.

I don't think I've heard Falls Church yet.

TG's 62 through 66 appear to be Sheriffs Dep't - primarily court & jail ops.

I heard Falls Church using the analog system last night, so I guess they haven't switched yet (assuming they're even going to do so).

Anyone who wants a .p96 file [for use with StarrSoft's WIN96 program & the PRO-96 & 2096 scanner] of this system as outlined in the db, feel free to pm me with your email address. The file will also contain DC's fire & police as well as a few other surrounding jurisdictions.
