ARMY CST Vehicle,Antenna Question

Well not sure if the antenna forum or here in the general is the best place for this Q so Ill drop it here and if needed an admin can move it...

So,,

Boston Marathon ,there were Nat Guard CST teams(as well as NG ordinance teams) present before-during and of course after the events.

I found this frame of some of the team and their ops truck,
Curious as to the types of domes dishes and stingers on the roof..

What is a auto directional microwave comm link?

I say the front antenna is a 1.2m Ku uplink antenna and the rear white dome is a KVH receive antenna for DirecTV or similar satellite service.
