• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Can you say "dedicated VPN"?

This is as bas as Charter's cookie BS. http://consumerist.com/5008801/charter-to-begin-tracking-users-searches-and-inserting-targeted-ads

The article mentions that the privacy invasion opt out request isn't secured. They changed it when enough people *****ed. https://connect.charter.com/cas/portal/settings/privacyoptout.aspx

Give adblock a try.. hehe https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865 Add Element hiding to rid the text ads. (Must be done manually per text ad, but works great in Yabadabdohoo and Googhole). Sry, you make enough freaking money! Well ,less Yahoo right now..

This is coming from AT&T, the number one company that engaged in illegal wire tapping and Internet monitoring of US citizens without any warrants. The same company that went into a joint venture with Yahoo and invaded users privacy to the max.

It sounds like they don't like Google's competition.

Not when it didn't cost me a cent! (We are moving to Juniper and my company was just going to throw them away)

Sorry, we only had two - one for me and one for the weekend admin... :D

BTW- we used them in a similar setup - we had two offices we needed connected in an WAN - so we had the two 5500s in front of two 3825 routers, one in each office.
