Good morning!
Yesterday, I heard Station 2 (Atmore PD in Escambia County) dispatching a call to MedStar EMS on AIRS TG 24185 (in the RRDB as North Baldwin EMS in Baldwin County). I've done some checking today and confirmed North Baldwin EMS is no longer in business though a former employee founded Baldwin EMS, LLC, which operates as a private ambulance service in Bay Minette - the old stomping grounds of North Baldwin EMS.
As monitored for years, Baldwin Central dispatches MedStar throughout the county with the exception of Orange Beach who maintain their own EMS units. MedStar is infrequently called for backup in Orange Beach.
Atmore PD dispatches MedStar in the city of Atmore and portions of Escambia County on AIRS TG 27268 so hearing them on a Baldwin County TG was new to me. I'll be submitting a name change to RRDB but am looking for any help as to what the TG is called internally as well as any insight regarding the conditions for its use.
