Hello everyone, I took a gamble on an ATS-20+ like this one. It worked for ONE day. I turned it off to charge it, and attempted to turn it on whilst charging...and nothing. If I remember the welcome screen briefly flashed and then nothing. The only thing that is working correctly is a led light comes on when it is charging, and turning on the power switch a brief pop can be heard. I've contacted the seller, but they do not want to provide a refund or replacement. Is there anything I can do to try to fix it, or is it relegated to the dustbin?
I'm hoping that I've placed this question in the correct forum, if not please let me know where the correct location should be :)

Thanks for any info on this malfunction!

This really belongs in the SDR forum (where I'll ask this to be moved)...but given the current situation with China, and the rather flaky reviews on this radio, I'd say it's likely that it belongs in the recycle bin.

These kinds of self contained wideband SDRs offer a lot of promise, but sadly their time just isn't quite there yet. CommRadio had their CR1 and CR1a radios which were pretty popular, but they're gone now (and I don't know that you'd find many of them on the used lists).

Thanks, Mike! I looked at those CommRadios. They look quite nice, and you are right, I couldn't find any listed. For the short moment that the AT 20+ worked, I liked the BFO filters. Finding the right one could really help with comprehending the transmission. I could also pick up 650 kHz from Nashville pretty well 300 miles away with just the telescoping antenna attached at night.

Those micro slide on/off switches are notoriously bad, since the seller has no honor, open it up, check the on/off with an ohm meter, check that all the connections are seated properly, check the battery with a meter. Check the firmware on the nano

Thanks for the reply PDXh0b0! Although I was able to send it back (I'm still out on if he will refund my money), there was a weird feature on it right out of the box. The switch for FM on the back panel didn't matter what position it was in as one could still access FM when it was switched to the MW/SW position. It had the V 1.1.5 software installed.
