Try installing the non-RadioReference-specific version of ScannerCast ( K1PGV's ScannerCast ) and tell it to connect over port 8000 instead of port 80 and see if you still have the problem.

This will help if the problem is that your ISP (or a network firewall) is blocking the streaming connection.

HTTP?1.1 401 Unauthorized
Scanner Cast PUSH Error 105

what am i doing wrong
O/S Windows 7

"PUSH Error 105" means that ScannerCast is getting an authorization error when attempting to log your feed onto RR. You may need to retry later.

Make sure your RR/BCFY user name & pass are correct & using the correct case.

You can try these other ports:80, 8000, 8080, or 8500.

Have you tried port forwarding on you're router to allow you're feed through.

Are you using AVG anti virus? If so, get rid of it as it disrupts feed streams. AVG & ScannerCast do not work together.

Also, proxy servers not allowed.

You might also try reinstalling .Net Framework 2.0 to make sure that's not the problem (although, from the error, it would appear that you're running into a ScannerCast bug).

You might try using RadioFeed to provide your feed.
RadioFeed Setup Instructions by Proscan.org. ProScan

Like the RR branded version of ScannerCast, RadioFeed will auto config to your BCFY account and feed.
Once downloaded & installed, simple as:
1 - Log into RR/BCFY and select your feed to broadcast.
2 - Select the correct sound card.
3 - Select Mono for a one radio feed or stereo for a two radio feed where one radio is on the left & the other is on the right. (Presets bit & sampling rate to correct settings)
4 - Press connect.

Basic RadioFeed Stereo Set Up:
Under Server Type, select RadioReference.
Press on RadioReference Auto Configure.
Log into RR (Enter your RR user name & pass).
Press Connect.
Select your feed to broadcast under Description.
Press Set.
Select the correct sound card.
Select Mono for a one radio feed or stereo for a two radio feed where one radio is on the left & the other is on the right. (Presets bit & sampling rate to correct settings).
Under the Options Tab, select these boxes: Are you Sure, Start up, Check for newer versions. Others are you like.
Under Source Select Tab, Press connect. You should now be broadcasting.

I'm getting this too. And all day yesterday and most of last night Icecast was up, down, up & down constantly. Getting this on Audio server-1. I can't even re-connect a feed at the present moment due to this error.

Also getting Scanner Cast start error " The Request Failed with HTTP status 503: service temporary unavailable" at the same time my other feed (Which is connected) is going on and offline every few seconds.

I confirmed that audio1.radioreference.com is stable and isn't going up and down (by going to http://audio1.radioreference.com to see what feed's it's hosting and confirming that several of them have been up for several days (one I checked has been online for weeks)).

Could it be that your ISP is blocking outbound traffic on port 80 which is common? I believe their is an alternate port but don't have enough knowledge to go into what's involved.

EDIT
If you tried port 80 and 8000 (not 800) and audio1 and audio3, you may of missed the combination during your trial and error. I would use audio3 as richtidd advises then try port 80 and then 8000. I may be wrong on the 8000 number but it's not 800.
