BCD396T/BC996T: Audio issue

My County switched to the P-25 this week now after I downloaded and upload the new data from radio reference into my scanner now one of the trunk site I not picking up I can pickup up all other trunk sites except for the local trunk site. I created a temp test p25 site manual enter the control frequency it display the talk group but no audio. Before the p-25 switch I was able picked up that site.

I have a broken internal speaker in the BCD396XLT scanner I'm using a external speaker plug into the headphone jack

Assuming you are at least occasionally seeing the control channel active on that frequency, you are detecting one or more talkgroups active in one way or another, and the Spartanburg site is truly simulcast (seems like it has at least two transmitter towers if not three), chances are you are now experiencing what is known as digital simulcast issues. This will be even more so if you are between the two (or more) transmitting towers.

P25/digital is a different beast than the old analog signals.

had no problems in the beginning when it was new, mow when i up load a new file off of RR everything looks right but no audio.the other p25 groups i have no problem, i compared both which have the same info other than the file number.or quick key.is it make a difference if i upload the file directly to a SD card or threw the 536 mass storage to the SD card.

i am in florida but,

the county next to me is sarasota and they are on P-25.
all towers except one are fine that is, and i need the reband tables to listen to it.
the database is a little behind as there is no analog anymore.
so try putting them in, it can't hurt.
