Looking for Aviation Frequency Database

Does anyone know of an official (FAA or similar) database where aviation frequencies (118 - 137 MHz) can be queried? If I have my scanner on search mode in the aviation band and it stops on a frequency that I am not familiar with, I'd like to be able to query it and find its use/location. I use the search feature in RR often, but the information can be limited. I have tried the FCC site, but the licensing information there is limited to ARINC/FBO type sites.Thanks.

Try airnav.com for your area? Also Jeppesen's might help?

Thanks 737mech. I'm not sure that these sites have the capability of querying actual frequencies. If so, I can't find it. I need something where I can enter an aviation frequency and it will show me the airport(s) that it is assigned to.

Oh, I thought you just had a mystery freq you couldn't find where it was coming from. A database might be a little confusing for that band as some airports use the same freqs as others, I go to alot of airports in the country with my scanner and that's what I found out. Depending on your location for example you may find yourself hearing two airports on the same freq. Once in a while you can hear the confusion transmissions from the pilots. They think they are close enough to call ahead to the destination airport and the nearer airport answers the call. Just one example, my company freq in Las Vegas 131.875 is also the company freq for some other airline (Hallmark I think) in LAX. Sometimes we can hear them as they fly over LAS.
