As recently as 8-10 years ago, audio baby monitors (and cordless phones) often operated around 49 MHz using analog FM in the U.S. I use the one of these to listen to the washer and dryer in our garage with my analog scanner. These days most of them transmit in the 1920 – 1930 MHz range using a digital modulation method that cannot be monitored with a standard scanner (DECT 6.0).

Like Steve, I also use a monitor to listen inside my garage.
Mine is analog FM in the 900 MHz range.

The old pairs my sister had were in the 900mhz range also in analog FM, used to be able to monitor with a scanner.

The ones made decades ago were 49mhz
They then moved to 900mhz
Today they use to 2.4 ghz and 5.8ghz

Somebody must still be making the 49MHz models; I have three in the neighborhood, no idea whose they are, 49.9, 49.89, and 49.85. I've never picked up any monitors in the 900MHz range, but that range apparently also covers those wireless headphone or amplifier devices...you can tell when the maid visits because you hear TV in Spanish.
