Hello All,

I just went through the firmware update (Uniden BC796D) and followed the Programming a Rebanded Motorola System instructions per: BC796DFirmwareUpdate < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

However, although I'm able to receive the UMESC talkgroups now, I'm wanted to ask whether or not "Band Plan (BN)" and "Configuration Block Number (CBN)" are synonymous.

I ask because when manually programming my BC796D I didn't see any options specifically referring to "Band Plan" whereas every other setting was consistent with the instructions, i.e., upper/lower base freq, offset, spacing and polarity.

So I simply assumed that:

Configuration Block Number 1 = Band Plan 1 and
Configuration Block Number 2 = Band Plan 2

Any feedback would greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This sounds a lot more like a Uniden tech question than a Maryland specific system question. I would encourage you to ask up in that forum- they might be able to help you out more.
