Seymour - Police are looking for a suspect in an armed bank robbery that prompted a school lockdown Monday morning.

Police say a man dressed in a black wig and sunglasses walked into The People's Bank at 302 Airport Road in Seymour after 11:00 am, displayed a weapon and demanded money. He got away with an unknown amount of cash.

The FBI is investigating the case. Seymour High School was on lockdown during a search.

Police are looking for a white male, medium build, approximately 5'11" to 6'2" tall, mid 20s to mid 30s wearing a white dress shirt with blue or gray pinstripes, and a disguise that included a black wig, black mustache and beard and dark sunglasses. He was also carrying two shoulder bags, one black or dark colored and the other gray. The man was last seen crossing US 50 near the bank and some railroad tracks and heading north.
