Hi, I was just going thru the cfcc page http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&action=cfcc&xid=388&t=2&os=0&s=cs&bf=89

Noticed a few frequencies listed under the call sign WPXB485 which from what I read is mostly Fire/EMS. When I program them in to my Pro-97 as coventional all I get is a continous tone. Anyone knows what these are and if these are conventional frequencies? lol yes I'm a newbie!

The frequencies are :453.4125
458.5625
458.6125
453.3375
458.4125
453.5625
458.3375
453.6125
Thanks and have a very happy holiday.......peace!

Fortunately, GA
Use just the 453.xxxx frequencies. Enter them in a bank as a LTR system. My guess is that they are data channel for EMS. I've never had them programmed in my scanner for my trips to Commerce and the outlet mall. The frequencies that are 5mhz higher are the mobile transmit frequencies. I'm going to have to give a listen as to what they are.

Banks

not EMS, Banks and all surrounding counties use vhf-hi band for public safety, banks fire -ems is 154-325, ems to hospital is 155.400, those sound like tanger mall channels used by mall staff. Also put in 154.220 Jackson fire -ems lot's of action ! Also Banks has put in CAD units in there Law enforcment units could be data ?

only thing that could be is the CAD system, I worked for Banks fire- ems, trust me it's not them. also the jail uses frequencies in that range might be them ? also you can forget the FCC search , I know at least 3 counties useing call signs related to fire for law enforcement and vice versa.

Jackson County folks

Well, I'm in Nicholson (Center, actually). We should get together and have a Jackson County Scan-in sometime soon! Maybe at Mike's Grill?

Hi Berrin, nice to see some more people from our area here. I was listening to Jaskson County police the other night and heard a call come in about a police chase where the cop was chasing a 98 mustang cobra and flipped. Believe they said it was in pendergrass near the post office. You don't know if they caught the guy do you? Anyway where's mikes grill? Is it in Commerce?
