Battery Old Uniden

I have an old Uniden Scanner (BC-100XLT) I turned on recently because there is things programmed that I enjoy listening to. The scanner got warm in the battery area and would not charge. I have not used it in a long time, I have tried everywhere and can get no help locating a battery. The battery # is BP205. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Babyhuey.

I have a BC100XLT also. There is something wrong with the radio, I think the squelch is dead. It will scan the freqs in it, but won't stop on any of them no matter where I put the squelch. The battery is still holding a charge. I bought this battery pack back in 1996. If you want the radio, battery, & charger. You can have it no charge. It's just been collecting dust in the attic. Let me know if your interested. We could meet somewhere by Metro airport if your interested in the radio.

Picked up my old BC 100XLT a few months ago. It had been sitting for about 5 years!! The battery wouldn't hold a charge anymore. So I took it with me to the local Battery's +.
They were able to rebuild it in a couple of days!!
I think I payed @ $36?!?! They replaced the Nicad's with 1700 NIMH cells. It lasts about 7-8 hours before needing a recharge!! Works Great!! My only problem is that since I reset it the other day I can no longer receive in the 42.000 Mz. My local CHP.
Otherwise I still love the damned thing!!
