BC 296D Data Cable in East Central Indiana

I am from Henry Co. and I am looking for Uniden BC 296D data cable. I need to upgrade my scanner for the Re-banding here in Indiana. I am willing to Borrow (if you are close and trust me) or even have someone close program the scanner for me (my desktop has no serial port). I have an old 250 & 785 that the firmware is not upgradable. My solution for the rebanding was to turn off C/C only and put in all the freq's and it works perfect. If you still want to update your 296, I have the cable and I live in Evansville.

what do you mean by "turn off C/C only"? I don't see where the frequencies have changed, however, now I am only receiving a few transmissions here and there. nothing like what i was getting before the July 6th Update. please feel free to email me. djrnewcastle@cinergymetro.net thank you so much

I read that and i guess i am just not smart enough to understand. It says that you have to Install the BC_VUP v2.0.0.7 . At least that's the way I read it. The portion at the bottom just totally threw me for a loop. And thanks to EVERYONE for their help on this issue

Bamx2, Unfortunately I don't believe so. looks as if it has to be a serial cable not usb. I appreciate your help though
