Under the General Search Options tab in the Config Editor, the Maximum Auto Store can be set between 1-256. What is a good number to set this to and does it effect the amount of dynamic channels?

Yes it does affect dynamic memory, but unlesss you alpha tag the channels the memory use is small. You can always check the amount of memory used in the "See Scanner Info" section.
