I have a BC250D that I use all the time. The battery does is not charging. Any thoughts on a mod where I can charge the battery out of the scanner?

uniden used to make a cradle charger to plug the proprietery battery pack into to charge extra batteries, your original walwart plugs into charger and charger has a pigtail to plug into scanner to charge or run both simultaniously. I think it came with another battery pack, only about 800mah but a spare none the less. check scanner master,scanner world, communications electronics, one of those places should have one if still available. I used one for my sportcat 200 with ni cad and nimh 2200mah batteries, worked well.

Within the past two weeks I ordered a new battery pack from Uniden for my 250D, had in a few days, paid about $20 shipped.
Primecell makes replacements much higher capacity than the originals and you can still use the same charger.

Bought a new 2600 Mah off e-bay and it works wonders for the always going dead battery beeping syndrome.
