Hey, newbie here looking for some info. First wanted to say thanks to the guys running this site. I've used the database before to look up frequencies and found it very informative! I apologize if this isn't the correct place for a topic like this.
I've been thinking about upgrading from my old BC120XLT and have been considering either the BC72XLT or the BC95XLT. My scanner usage consists of casually listening to police/fire frequencies on boring nights.
My question is does the BC95XLT have better reception compared to the lower priced BC72XLT? I live in a fairly rural area and would like to be able to pick up chatter at around 20-30 miles away. Will either of these scanners provide that? The highest I can go on a scanner is around $100, if anyone has better alternatives in this price range I would be delighted to hear it!
Thanks.
