BC898T SS Demo

Maybe I'm just thick, but all I can find at the Uniden site is this link BC898TSS Software for their software.

In huge red lettering they tell you to try the Demo version, but they sure don't make it obvious how I go about doing that.

Does anyone know how to get a copy of their demo version of this software for the BC898T scanner?

You're not thick. I've searched and cannot find the demo software either.

I'm looking for alternatives now.

The only real alternatives are Scan Control at

ScanControl Ver. 7.0

or ARC898 from BuTel.

A hint- when doing research always check the wiki first. It will likely have what you are looking for, or at least have a point from which you can start. 73 Mike

BC898T DemoWare FOUND!

I had the same I found it by going to another model number and altering the URL of the demo software.

Here it is:

I had to change to model number and add "SS" on the end and then I crossed my fingers and hit Enter and Lo! and Behold! Success!

Not sure if you have to be logged in, but I don't think so.

I didn't like it -- I tried it just long enough to come to that conclusion and I can't remember the specifics of what I especially didn't like since I immediately went ahead and ordered BuTel's ARC898T software, which does the job much better in my opinion.

Oh yeah, I also tried Scan Control and found it lacking compared to BuTel ARC898T.

By the way, referring to my previous post, you do have to be logged on to download that BC898TSS demo.

I have to agree with tetralite about BC898TSS demo, ARC898 is the way to go.
