Some how I have lost the default set of channels that were in my 996T. Where can I get the template as it came from the factory?

The supplied software. Or, if you haven't programmed anything in yourself, just reset the scanner (you will be prompted to restore the factory preload).

to reset a 996 you need to hold the hold/resume/2 and 9 keys while powering on the radio
