I'm getting back into scanning after about 10 years, and learning P25. I just got a BCD325P2 and programmed in my first system (a local police P25 system).

I would like to scan just this system, but can't figure out how to do this. The scanner keeps also searching through the preset service searches, like Military Air, Racing, etc.

I have gone through the manual, but can't figure out how to scan only the one system that I've programmed.

Would appreciate any assistance!

Do a search for Uniden BCD325P2 on UTube. They have some videos, one is on how to program a P25 system which you already did but there may be others. There are also some “Easier to Read” manuals out there. Not sure if there is one for the 325 but do a search.

You might also consider getting programming software like Proscan or even Freescan to get the idea of how things work.

Nice scanner you have there, enjoy the new BCD325P2 and don't get too frustrated on programming it. You'll get the hang of it.

Here's a link to FreeScan:

You can back up your programming and program new stuff with it. It's FREE!
