BCD352P2 - Tone Out question... Analog but not Digital?

So, I just received and programmed my BCD352P2 scanner using Freescan.

I noticed that I am getting tones on the analog signals, but I have not yet heard a tone out for those fire/ems departments that are on the digital channels.

Forgive my ignorance, this is my first digital scanner. Do digital signals not get tones? Or did I set it up wrong? I have searched my settings, Freescan, and the manuals in hand and online. I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated!

No Uniden scanner is capable of decoding tones on a digital frequency or talkgroup. Analog tone decoding only.

Out of curiosity, why does the scanner allow for "tone-out" searches if it's not able to decode them? Forgive me, still learning!

It does decode them. On Analog frequencies only.
