BCD396T power source.

Hello fellow RR members. I am wondering where I can order more Ni-MH batteries (so that I can have extra batteries on hand). I was hoping that they would have use a Ni-MH battery but guess my wish didn't come true. By the way does anyone how the "life expectancy" of the batteries that come with the BCD396T?

The reason why I say that they should have went with the battery pack is because I plan on having my scanner on 24/7. I will never sleep. LOL.

Once again I get to put my 2 cents in.... I have ordered many different batteries as well as the following 2 chargers below from www.thomas-distributing.com. I have had nothing but EXCELLENT service, prices, etc from this company. If nothing else, browse & see if anything meets ur needs. They have 'AA' Ni-MH up to 2900mAH, which is 600mAH more than the stock ones. I have some 2900, 2500 & 2300's I use in mine.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure life expectancy will vary somewhat, obviously depending on hours of use. At home, I leave mine on the stock AC adapter. I leave the battery switch on 'alkaline' so the adapter doesn't change the batteries. That way I only use the battery power when in car or outside.
