BCD396T programming cable question

Does anyone have a close up picture(s) of the program port on the radio and the cable?
I have a USB1 cable for my camera, Canon Powershot A540, and I was wondering if it would work with the scanner. Saving a little money on a purchase would be helpful if I don't need to purchase one.

(I know one comes with it, but my laptop does not have a serial port, only USB)

Does the camera connect via serial or USB, does the cable have the serial to USB circuitry that the scanner needs. The connection on the Uniden is not a mini USB port, a standard min USB B connection will not work.
