Has anybody noticed if you turn the scanner off and press hold while turning the scanner on two new menu items appear under the settings menu? The display flashes all the different colors. If you go under the settings menu two new options appear:

P25 Adjust mode- default is at 3
P25 Adjust level- default is at 50

Those are the only two things I have found so far.

Very interesting discovery. Now..... what is the end result of adjusting them upwards or downward? Have you played with them at all? Results?

The mode sets the algorithm for P25 decode. Leave it at 3 (anything higher than 3 will just act like 3...anything lower will have the reduced performance of previous firmware versions on the 396T).

P25 adjust level sets the RSSI value below which the scanner will not attempt to make P25 fine tune adjustments. If the signal is too low, RX reliability is not high enough to make P25 adjustments correctly.

These modes are in the unit for testing...I don't recommend adjusting either of them.

Duly noted...
