When monitoring a digital, trunked system, is there a way to select TRUNK SEARCH, like on the BCD996XT an other radios? Or is the choice to use Discovery Mode? Also, does the Discovery Mode behave exactly like the Trunk Search when monitoring trunked systems?

You can toggle a system between search and scan on the x36 scanners just like the 996xt.
The system must be in a Favorites List, and then from the radio, you just go into manage favorites list and select what you want. You can also toggle it in Sentinel.
You can only scan if you are using the full database and not using a favorites list.
