bcd436hp weather won't shut off

I was playing with my new 436 and went to settings wx and weather scan... now it keeps coming up on normal scan and holding on the weather .. how do I shut wx off until I want it?

Bcd436 weather won't shut off

Go to nationwide system in the scanner go down to were you see weather turn it to off, should do it.

I reboot the radio, it starts scanning my zip code list and gets stuck on weather and won't go back to scanning... I'm trying to read the manual to find the solution but so far cannot find it... I reset all system settings in regards to weather to default functions

Weather is a strong transmission in my area so I created a favorites list without weather. If I need to know, my truck radio has weather radio.

I had just put in the keys for dmr and edacs upgrade, went to weather.. somehow it kept coming up. I had gone to alt priority and made sure that was off as one of the attempts I made to keep wx from taking over.
I didn't find the nationwide list so I found a reset user data and settings in the menu and did both of those.. now the radio is scanning without the weather again I am on the learning curve for this radio. My last was a gre500 and this is totally different. May take me a bit to adjust lol Thanks

I forgot about that one. I did that often in the beginning. I use proscan and sentinel to create and modify my favorites. There are some things I still don't get with this radio but it's pretty neat. Hooking up the GPS puck does wonders also.
