BCD536HP Firmware Update

In just installed a firmware update for my BCD536HP.

I checked my BCD436HP and their wasn't a firmware update.

What version is your BCD536HP now? TWiki says that it should be at 1.26.00 (4/20/2019)

The reason there is no mention of a new firmware upgrade is because there hasn't been one.

You must not have checked the firmware update for your BCD536HP in quite a while.

The current and latest firmware version available through Sentinel for the BCD536HP is 1.26.00. That version was released through the Sentinel update process over 2 years ago.... 4/20/2019.

My 536 has 1.26. I've had this 536 for some 5 years. I'm sure I've checked for firmware update in the past but maybe not.

Just the opposite....

He said in his first post that he updated the firmware in his 536, and that there was no update for the 436.

Back on the serious side. . .

While somewhat similar, the 536 and 436 are different scanners when it comes to firmware. Some firmware upgdates may be unique to mobile operation and some may be unique to portables (such as display light timeout).

And it could be just as you thought, a firmware update may have been missed or not checked. It probably has been a couple of years since an update for the 536 was issued.

Well, there is an update (1.28.14) for the BCD536 I just discovered by pushing the update button in Sentinel. Actually it does not change anything.
"Housekeeping update to accommodate revised hardware - No functional change from 1.26.00. "
