BCD536HP w/ Tri-band Ant getting static on all CHP "Remote Links" departments

Hopefully I am just an idiot and it's something very obvious, but after troubleshooting myself, googling extensively, and poking around these forums I cannot seem to figure this out.

I got a BCD536HP a week ago, and absolutely love it so far. This is my first scanner, but have found it very easy to use so far. This past weekend, I was scanning California Highway Patrol frequencies and was able to hear quite a bit. However, it seemed that anytime it would pick up a "Remote Links" department on the scanner, it would just put out static. I can't recall a single time it has actually given voice of any kind.

I used Sentinel software to build a favorites list of just CHP frequencies from the database. Using that, this is what is **displayed on the screen** in one particular example:

Sys: California Highway Patrol (CHP)
Dept: Remote Links - Coastal Division
Chan: Pacheco Pass - Green (Tx)

From using the RR database, here are the details of this particular example:

Frequency Output: 75.46
FCC Callsign: KDE682
Agency/Category: California Highway Patrol CHP Coastal Division
Description: Pacheco Pass Green Tx
Alpha Tag: PchoRmtB
Mode: FM
Class Station Code: F
Tag: Other

Again, this is just one case... there are many others, this is just the one I took a picture of. All seem to be on those "Remote Links" departments.

Any ideas? Is this an antenna issue? Scanner issue? DMR issue (if applicable)?

You won't hear much on those CHP links. They are very directional. I think the static you hear is just noise, common in that range on Uniden scanners, for me at least.

Frequency Output: 75.46???!!!
Could be some sort of device they are using and all you hear is digital noise.
At that frequency I doubt its audio.

Emission is FXO (says to link or Radio Telemetry)

Some of the 72mhz links are good with audio , just not that active in my neck of the woods.

Link frequencies

Most radio links are point to point, usually with directional antennas. They are typically used in place of landline (when they are not available/reliable/etc). If you are not in the antenna's beam width, you will likely not hear anything. Modern system tend to be microware based, but many agencies' links are still in the lower bands

They can be one or two way, encrypted or not, depends on the agency....
