• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I am using BCTool to program my scanner, with CSV files from RR.

On the Arkansas Awin system, I appear to be successful in programming, but the
scanner decodes nothing.

While looking at it, it shows the system to be 800 mhz trunking, but I do not find
a tab for 800 Mhz trunking P25. Should I need to do that? as this system is P25,
should I be using something else?

When setting up the new system, choose Motorola type 2/P25.. then when setting up the new site for that system, choose P25.

See if that works.

In addition to the comment below, you don't want to be importing the csv files from RR. You are a premium subscriber; so you should be able to log in with your login/password (same as the one you use here), and connect directly to the database, then download what you need.
