I have a BCD996P2 & every once in a while talk groups that I've locked out permanently become unlocked on their own. Is this a design flaw or is this an intentional feature?
I know that. As I said, TG's that I permanently locked out unlock themselves. If you press lockout once then it is a temporary lockout and will be unlocked next time you turn on the scanner.
to permanently lockout, press lockout twice quickly.
Double check to see whether you have duplicates programmed. As I said, TG's that I permanently locked out unlock themselves.
It's really not a big problem. I can live with it. I love my 996P2.Hmm, are you reading and writing to and from the scanner with software? if so check to see that the software shows the lockouts after reading from the scanner.
I have a 996P2 and never had this problem.
I don't know how to switch between the two.Double check to see whether you have duplicates programmed.
Also, make sure the scanner is in ID SCAN mode - NOT ID SEARCH mode.
Press IN the big silver knob then quickly hit the Scan/Search button.I don't know how to switch between the two
Are you programming using Proscan by chance? Whenever I write to mine, I lose lockouts. Even when programmed as lockout!
I don't know what Proscan is.Are you programming using Proscan by chance? Whenever I write to mine, I lose lockouts. Even when programmed as lockout!
Ok thanks. I'll try it.
Ok, let's see if that works. It took me a while to get it on just ID Scan.
Is that TGID lockout? That shouldn't happen on ver. 19.2 and later. There was a problem with the Settings - Lockout TGID grid. Uploading the settings lockouts would conflict with the systems upload so the Settings - TGID lockout grid was made read only. Are you programming using Proscan by chance? None! What programming software, if any, are you using?
