BCD325P2/BCD996P2: BCD996P2 Tune Frecuency

HI EVERYONE. When I tune 860.365 NFM frequency, the letters LNK and NAC appear at the bottom of the screen, but I can't figure out what they mean. Do I have to update Provoice, NXDN and DMR to be able to hear the voices on that frequency? Or definitely I should enter it with Freescan or ARXXT Pro.

Okay, so, I don't have a BCD996P2, but I do have a BCD436HP, which sounds like these symbols mean the same thing. So it sounds like the frequency you're holding on is a digital P25 frequency, and the NAC stands for Network Access Code which is the same thing as CTCSS and DCS, but P25 uses NAC. And the LNK means that it is receiving data from that frequency. And you shouldn't need any upgrades since it's just P25. BCD996P2 already has P25. 👍

If you don't hear voice on this frequency then you've likely landed on a P25 trunking control channel

DAT means DATA, no voice.

If DAT appears, then you are receiving the frequency and you don't have to do anything else to hear them when they talk. DAT sort of just means that it's working.

"Data" means it see's and is receiving the Control Channel... And as @donc13 said, only data...

As others above me have mentioned, active control channels don't carry voice traffic

That frequency is part of a trunked system receiving data , you need the rest of the frequencys and they need to be programmed into a type of trunk system.Either "type11orP25 with groups and TGs....

In resumen this equipment cannot decode frecuencies if they not programed with ARC XT PRO or FREESCAN?????????????????
