As stated in the Updated: My Personal EOC thread, here is my vehicle, a 2007 Honda Element EX. Currently, this is what I have installed:
 • Uniden BCD996T
 • Motorola CDM1550 VHF
 • Motorola CDM1550 UHF (High Split)
 • The BCD996T is connected to a Garmin GPS18PC for location control (unit is burried in the dash).
The console that the light switches, cup holders, and the two radios are in was custom buit by myself. I couldn't find anything out there on the market that would work well for me, so I did some building for about a week and that's what I came up with.

I'm a lieutenant & EMT for the local first aid squad and i'm a deputy coordinator for the office of emergency management in town, so I use the vehicle and its radios frequently to respond to first-aid calls and any emergencies that OEM gets called upon for.

And here are the pictures.... enjoy!

Nice setup. I really love your main "kill switch" (the key) Prevents unauthorized use of the lights in case you loan your vehicle to someone.
Again, very nice

Very nice and clean install. Does the kill switch also kill power to the radios??

Yes, the kill switch also kills power to the radios. That way if I loan my car to someone, I just take the key and it disables the lights and the radios. Also, if i'm on a long trip and have people with 'wandering' hands, i can take the key as well.

no siren?
Long story there, mostly political, but hopefully that will all change in January :D The amp and speaker is already installed, the fuse to it and the remote head are the only things not installed.

As far as getting the permit through the squad, I don't anticipate staying lieutenant after the end of the year. I'm filling the position from the last lieutenant that has moved out of the area and left the squad.

Very nice setup. How about a picture or two of the antenna setup?

First time I've seen a Element setup.

Nice clean setup I would like to say again I really like the "key kill switch". My question is how do you listen to the scanner in the dash, do you have an ext. speaker or did you run it through your CD player?
