Bct-7 Question

Is there a way so that when the bct-7 is turned on, the loud alert does not beep? Also, how do you prevent frequencies from cutting in and out - Sounds like priority is activated. I don't have the manual for this scanner.

Hold one of buttons down like WX/PVT down while turning the radio on. This will skip the beep and test.
I don't think you can turn off the Priority check on the BCT-7. That is part of the BearTracker system.
