I JUST GOT FOR AN EARLY FATHERS DAY GIFT MY NAME IS BRYAN I LIVE IN NEWJERSEY MY CELL AT (856) 650-7563 I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A UNIDEN BEARCAT TRUNKTRACKER 3 MODEL IS BCT15X

I AM SEEKING ANY HELP TO PROGRAM MY NEW SCANNER AS I LIVE IN CAMDEN COUNTY AND THEY HAVE RECENTLY SWITCHED TO SOME DIFFERENT FREQUENCYS

THEY HAVE AN ANNALOG AND DIGITAL CHANEL NOW

WHEN DISPATCHED THEY SAY RESPOND ON EITHER

NORTH OPS

SOUTH OPS

EAST OPS

WEST OPS

Hi Bryan,
First off, you don't need to use all capitals when using a forum. In most cases, capital letters equate to yelling. Just giving you a hint that lowercase is usually best when typing your messages.


Take a look at the Radio Reference Database for Camden County here: Camden County, New Jersey (NJ) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

What you want to do when programming your radio is setup a System, then a group, and then put frequencies into the group.

Example Setup a system called Police Then a Group called Dispatch, Then put all the police dispatches in that group. You could create another group under Police called Tac and put all the non dispatch related frequencies in that group. Finally, assign the system to a Quick Key (think Memory Bank), and then you will have a scan list setup for police.

Repeat the same for Fire, etc until you are done with the list. Then move onto the trunking stuff which is a bit more complicated.

Software will help you figure the radio out faster. I suggest BuTel's ARCXT software.
