• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. Is there anyway to pick up Glendale arizona police with this scanner
If you mean this system, the answer is no. That's an APCO-25 (digital) system. You'd need (base mobile) either a Pro-2096 or Uniden BCD996T. Handhelds Pro-96 or BCD396T also would cover it. Two other Uniden models, both discontinued, also would work: The BC796D (base/mobile) or BC296D handheld. These may still be found at a few dealers, on Ebay, and in the for-sale forum here.

New digital scanners are considerably more expensive than the BCT-8. The regular price for all of them is around $500 new, although the Pro-2096 & the Pro-96 are on sale for, I believe, $399, till the 18th of this month. There's a thread on that in the Radio Shack forum.
