Bearcat BP-250 help?

Hi, I've been out of the scanning game for some years... Came across my old BP-250. (Bearcat 250 handheld) and just noticed I can't get the city of Santa Clara anymore. I tried to program my scanner with the freq found here, but it still doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone here knows if this scanner survived the rebanding? Or am I doing something wrong? This scanner was never the easiest thing to program, and I don't remember how I was able to do it in the first place, but it did work. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Any recommendations on a replacement scanner? I understand how trunking works, but had a hell of a time programming the BP-250. Thanks for the info...

Just for listening to Santa Clara City or in general? For just listening to them you can pick most any scanner made in the last two years (I would recommend looking at the Wiki if you go with a used model to verify it will work for rebanding) if you go used; most anything sold now and made in the last year will do rebanding. In general.....depends on what else you want to listen to.
