What is an HPE file and what is a MOA?

Military Operating Areas are airspace blocks reserved for use by military aircraft for exercises. Snoopy and Beaver encompass portions of northern Minnesota. They can be pretty fun for milair fans to monitor, as they’re the closest thing you’ll get to hearing comms as they would occur in actual combat. If you’re close enough, it’s worth programming them into your scanner.

HPE is a scanner file that contains the freq, TG, name assignments etc.
