Bell Boeing V-22 OSPREY, checking out the Niagara Falls area today

These guys must have stayed the night in Grand Rapids, MI after their sightseeing tour. I stopped at the GRR airport viewing park since I was super early getting into GR. Glad I did. Seeing an Osprey has been one of my bucket list planes.

Is that USAF? What’s that paint scheme on tail? AZ air national guard?

Nope. Check the fuselage marking of Navy. AZ AF ANG is a KC135 based ARW or F-16C unit in Tucson for NORAD air missions.

That tailflash belongs to the USN VRM-40 'Mighty Bison' based out of NAS Norfolk.

Today (Fri) they continued their sightseeing tour. Flew down the Mighty Mississippi from the Hannibal, MO, area; passing the Gateway Arch approx 1630Z. Then they stopped at Spirit of St Louis Airport (KSUS) for lunch & fuel. Departed again 1833Z. Finished up the day at Eisenhower National Airport (KICT) in Wichita.
