• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Car stuck on RR crossing at 400 block of Blariton Rd. Fire, Martinsburg PD, WVSP, and BCSO dispatched. Within minutes of FD on scene and asked for dispatch to let CSX know there was a vehicle stuck on the crossing, it was struck and on fire.

I caught the CSX dispatcher telling on of the trains to hold up because of this. He gave no other details out other than it was a MARC train.

8:55 pm-Dispatcher just advised a MARC train that was stopped just west of Duffields that there would be a 40-45 minute wait.

BCSO called for a rollback for the stuck truck. Sounded like there were no injuries. I have some traffic from the CSX dispatcher inquiring about any damage to the train. Later I caught them stating there would be a wait while they unload the train. I guess they moved everyone to another train.
