Berkeley Co. - Weather Feb. 2010

Thought I would start another hread for this area.

So far the WVIRP is very active on all the normal TGs. DoH is very active as well on their 42MHz freqs as well as 453.9625MHz from Martinsburg. Also, the "Flagger" freq, 156.0600MHz. I've also caught some MARS traffic on 143.975MHz FM. In addition, I've been hearing CW on 167.4375MHz FM; not sure who/what this is and my code is VERY bad now (used to be pretty good about 15 years ago). New freq found, 163.0125MHz P25 seems to be very active for the 167th Air Guard.

Anyone else have anything to add? I've been looking for WV National Guard but with no luck. They are using TG 1151 on the WVIRP and looks like they have county radios...RID 111458, 111456, 111453 are the last I saw. Sounds like they are running then out of the airport.

42 mhz

I have been scanning the 42 MHz area and am getting nothing except a lot of static on .975. What freqs in this range are you receiving? The RR database doesn't list any for Berkeley Co. I should check Loudon Co. where you are located.

I'm in Berkeley Co. Sorry, I meant to type 47MHz. Here: Department of Highways Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference You're correct about 453.35 too; I wasn't listening to it since it doesn't seem to be around Berkeley Co.
